Being willing is what moves us forward

I have discovered it’s best to travel light when adventuring OR walking a spiritual path. Maybe because at the end of the day these two paths are not so different. Both of them require us to let go of the old to create or discover something new.

Many of the hardest things I’ve personally had to let go of were, oh who am I kidding, ARE my old thought processes and worn-out beliefs. My wanting to be comfortable, safe and let’s definitely not forget being right!

To grow, to heal, to transform, to awaken is uncomfortable work, and it is necessary work if we are to live our most epic life! It will involve leaps of faith more than once. We will have to run the risk of getting stuff wrong, making mistakes, letting go, surrender, and lots and lots of compassion for ourselves and others as we forge a new path into our interior wilderness. I say this because once we enter that wilderness we will discover some stuff that we would rather not look at, it won’t feel particularly nice, just know that’s okay. It’s old stuff and if we can be totally honest with ourselves we will realize it doesn't actually serve us, moving forward will feel a whole lot easier not carrying the weight of it.

All we ever really need to do is be willing to begin, because being willing is what moves us forward.

Thank you so much for reading, if you enjoyed this post I welcome your comments below and I would love it if you shared it with anyone you think could use it.

Much Love and Many Blessings
